Adam Milstein is the successful real estate property developer who was born in Haifa, Israel, in 1952. He joined the Israeli Defense Forces in 1971 and served under Ariel Sharon before he became prime minister, during the Yom Kippur War; In 1974 Adam Milstein married his wife at Gila and moved to the United States later in 1981. They moved to California, where Adam received his MBA from the University of Southern California and went on to continue the tradition of property development that his parents had instilled in him back in the home country.
Today, Adam Milstein has built up an impressive real estate portfolio worth 2 billion dollars under the Hager Pacific Properties company. It has allowed him to donate over $1000000 per year to Jewish and Israeli organizations, and strengthen Israeli-American relations. In his “Times of Israel” article, Adam Milstein asserts that Jews have always faced prosecution, but the ways in which this occurs have changed during modern times.
During World War II, Colonel Mickey Marcus was a strong individual from Brooklyn, New York, who after building a reputation as a powerful leader in the American War left for Israel in 1948, where he became a respected General. Ever since the times of Marcus (and even before), there have been many wedges that try to divide Israel from the world. One of the main ones is called the “BDS”, or Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions. Adam Milstein says that it is heroes like Mickey Marcus who need to be remembered and respected in these times of more modern forms of bigotry against Jews.
Milstein, in his Times of Israel article, recounts that it is great meeting with the future generation of Jewish activists and philanthropists at his Israeli American Council meetings. Adam’s goal is to give young Israeli-Americans the tools to succeed in continuing the legacy of the Jewish people.
