Dr. Saad Saad gives expert insight on the issue of vaccines

Like most pediatricians, Dr. Saad Saad, currently a retired pediatrician, has had to deal with late-night calls from concerned parents. According to statements from the doctor, most of these parents are usually worried about the symptoms that their children are exhibiting. It is in respect to this that Dr. Saad recently took it upon himself to address the issue of vaccination.

 

Why parents should take vaccination seriously  

 

Due to the different opinions aired by different people online, most parents are usually uncertain about getting their kids vaccinated. However, according to the president of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Sarah Hassink, and a myriad of other health experts including Dr. Saad, encourage them to do so. Postponing or skipping vaccinations only puts the child at the risk of contracting the disease. Vaccination is the only way to offer optimal protection to their children.

 

Having been a pediatric for the last four decades, Dr. Saad understands that there is a lot of confusion on the issue of vaccines. To address the problem, he starts by explaining what a vaccine is and how it relates to human immunity. He then rolls out five reasons why parents should take it upon themselves to get their kids vaccinated as shown here

Who can’t get vaccines?

 

Dr. Saad also reminds parents that there are those who should not be vaccinated. For instance, infants below two months should wait until the right time. Also those with certain medical conditions and additionally, those who respond negatively to certain vaccines. Apart from these groups of people, everyone else should get vaccinated.

 

A glance at Dr. Saad Saad’s career journey

 

Before his retirement, Dr. Saad served as a surgeon-in-chief at the K Hovnanian children hospital. He was, and remains one of the most renowned pediatrics in New Jersey. However, his journey to earning the status wasn’t entirely smooth. The doctor was born in Palestine but had to move to Kuwait due to the nature of his father’s work. He was always a bright student, and after he earned a medical degree at the University of Cairo, it opened doors for him, and he moved to England where he did his internship. After completion, he moved to the US where he did his residency, and for the next four decades, he has been serving the New Jersey community.
