Felipe Montoro Jens in 2013 was named Chief Executive Officer of Odebrecht Properties. Odebrecht property division is responsible for public private partnerships. In 2015, Felipe Montoro Jens was assigned to raise capital overseas, in Portugal, the Asian markets and oversee investments in Africa, primarily pertaining to oil, and mining.
Currently Felipe Montoro Jens manages Odebrecht’s 12 public private partnerships. The government of Brazil is leveraging the economic benefits from implementing public private partnerships in an effort to improve the economy, while improving the quality of life, and lowering the budget.
Felipe Montoro Jens reports on many examples throughout the country of Brazil that are utilizing public private partnerships. In Bahia, there is currently the Light Rail Vehicle Project. The Light Rail Vehicle Project or VLT is scheduled to run through the year 2031. The VLT includes 19 miles, with 21 stops, and is estimated to effect 1.5 million people.
